# Password Policies

Passwords are sensitive and confidential, which is why you should define rules for enforcing strong passwords using a **password policy**. Also, it enhances your security.

You’ll have a default policy with basic rules. You can use this default policy if you haven’t created one. Let’s see creating a custom password policy to define your own set of rules.

* Switch to **Password Policies** and click **Custom Password Policy**.
* Give it a name, set the rules you need, and then save it.

Here are all the password policies you’ve created. You can

* View the policy by clicking![](https://reasyapps.com/forum/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/View.png).
* Edit the policy by clicking![](https://reasyapps.com/forum/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Edit.png). Modify and update it.
* Delete a policy by clicking![](https://reasyapps.com/forum/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Delete-policy.png).
* Slice and dice the policies to view as per your preferences

**Note:** The default password policy cannot be modified or deleted; you can only view its rules.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.reasy.ai/help/getting-started/engines/user-management/password-policies.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
